EPW - Buzot a Choisy, French gold quarter repeater, 40mm, 18K OF original case with gilt cuvette, KWKS, engine turned gilt dial, cylinder escapement, 6J, gilt mvt with floating barrel, repeater activated by depressing pendant, s#8273 on case. Gross weight of assembled watch 30.9 dwt (48.0 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Ticking sluggishly on a full wind and stopping occasionally, repeat mechanism somewhat sluggish but mostly engaging correctly with the observed exception of not chiming quarters from 12:15 to 12:59, excellent mvt condition overall, FS on barrel; dial with small surface ripple inside 10 and near center below hands; excellent hands; case shows medium wear, typical MFS, small ding on bezel at 10, ET fully lost on rear and largely lost from bezel; tight bow, push shows ample wear; good glass crystal.
